My name is Emily, and I am 17 years old. My goal is to raise as much money as possible for my people to people trip to Spain, France, and Italy. I don’t have enough money for this trip, and I need as much help as possible. Its expensive, but worth every penny. I did not sign up for this trip just to travel, I signed up because it will help me better myself. People to people is a program for students so they can learn more about world cultures, and meet new people. As well as People to People helps students gain confidence, and over come fears. I am joining for both of these reasons. I don’t have a lot of self esteem or confidence in myself, and I hope this trip will bring that out.I am very hard working, and I graduated high school in 3 years. I grew up with a sick mum, and a father that always worked. Currently he is working 2 jobs over 70 hours a week, and he wants me to go on this trip so bad. My mum has a chronic lung disease,and has been through a lot. My life has always been focused on her. I always loved taking care of her, and I always will, but it is my time to find myself. I need as much help as possible, I can’t do it alone, and my parents don’t have that much to help me. This is my dream. I need this trip so bad, and I want to have this experience. This trip is so important to me. I have always wanted to travel, and learn about different cultures, and meet new people. Its a once and a life time opportunity, so please help me.
